About us

Originally founded in 1885, Tas & Company was located in the heart of Amsterdam on Warmoesstraat until 1992. In addition to trading activities, there was also the development and production of oil and gas burners.
Partly due to the limitations of accessibility and available space, it was decided in 1991 to divest the burner production and focus entirely on the trading activities. After being based in Diemen for some time, we have been located in the Zaan region since 2005.
From this easily accessible location we now sell and support a number of renowned companies: Mavag, Körting Hannover, Gulbinat, Dr. Mueller , and BWTS Sunrui.

The energy of a start-up combined with 135+ years of experience

1885

Origins of the company

Tas & Company was founded by Mr. Tas as a technical trading agency on the Warmoesstraat in Amsterdam. From the very beginning, the company represented the German manufacturer Körting Hannover — a partnership that continues to this day

1950 - 1980

Growth

During this period, Tas & Company expanded its portfolio with leading manufacturers such as MAVAG, Dr. Müller, and Gulbinat — connections established by the former owner. With the arrival of new owner, these partnerships were strengthened and the company entered a new phase of steady growth within the industry.

1981 - 2002

New focus

From 1981, Tas & Company shifted its focus entirely to representing the specialised products of Körting, Dr. Müller, Gulbinat and MAVAG. As a result, the company phased out its involvement in burner-related activities by 1991, to fully commit to its role as a technical agent. In 1992, Tas & Company relocated to the Zaanstreek region, positioning itself for long-term growth and professionalisation.

2002 - Present

Reshaping

In 2002, the company came under new ownership, continuing its technical mission and trusted partnerships. From 2010 onwards, Tas & Company increasingly specialised in maritime applications — particularly for large vessels — while expanding its reach beyond the Netherlands and Belgium.
