Pigging Systems
Recover up to 95% of residual product from your pipelines. Reduce waste, speed up changeovers and cut cleaning costs.
95% product recovery
Recover nearly all product from pipelines, minimizing waste and losses.
Faster changeovers
Reduce changeover time between products, colors or flavors by up to 80%.
Less water & chemicals
Reduce CIP water and chemical consumption with mechanical product removal.
Simple operation
Automatic pig launching and receiving with minimal operator intervention.

What is pigging?
Pigging uses a flexible projectile (the "pig") to push residual product through a pipeline. The pig fits tightly against the pipe wall, scraping the surface clean and pushing the product ahead of it.
In a typical transfer line, 5-15% of the product remains in the pipe after pumping stops. Without pigging, this product is lost to waste or flushed away with cleaning water.
Trinox / Gulbinat pigging systems recover up to 95% of this residual product, delivering it to the destination vessel or packaging line. The recovered product is saleable, not waste.
How pigging works
The pig is launched from a sending station at the start of the pipeline. Compressed air or liquid propellant pushes the pig through the line, with the product ahead of it.
At the end of the line, the pig enters a receiving station where it's captured and held ready for the return journey. The recovered product continues to the destination.
Pigging sequence:
- Product transfer completes
- Pig launched from sending station
- Pig pushes residual product through line
- Product delivered to destination
- Pig captured in receiving station
- Line ready for cleaning or next batch
