FUNDA® Centrifugal Disc Filter
The FUNDA® is MAVAG's flagship filter: a centrifugal disc filter that uses rotating filter discs to achieve exceptionally high filtration rates with low cake moisture. The centrifugal action provides superior cake washing and dewatering in a single, compact machine.
Originally developed for the sugar industry, FUNDA® filters are now the go-to solution across pharmaceutical, chemical and food processing for applications demanding high throughput, gentle handling and low residual moisture.

MAVAZWAG® Filter-Dryer
The MAVAZWAG® combines filtration, cake washing, reslurrying and vacuum drying in one fully contained vessel. This eliminates product transfers and reduces contamination risk — essential for potent APIs and high-value intermediates.
The heated jacket and agitator provide efficient heat transfer for fast drying, while the enclosed design maintains full containment throughout the process.

Nutsche Filters
MAVAG also manufactures agitated nutsche filters for batch pressure or vacuum filtration. The slurry is fed into a vessel where solids collect on a filter plate while the filtrate passes through.
The agitator enables cake smoothing, reslurrying for multi-stage washing, and assisted discharge. The fully enclosed design provides complete containment for handling potent compounds.

MAVAG filters are constructed from high-grade stainless steel (316L or higher) with electropolished wetted surfaces. All designs meet ASME BPE standards for pharmaceutical applications.
Special materials including Hastelloy, titanium and glass-lined steel are available for corrosive applications. Every filter is designed and manufactured in Switzerland to the highest quality standards.
